Belgrade, January 30th, 2019.

Knowledge of international tender procedures and legal issues is of crucial importance for successful implementation of large infrastructure projects. FIDIC (Fédération Internationale Des Ingénieurs-Conseils) is most frequently used set of conditions of contract in international construction and engineering. The use of FIDIC Conditions of Contract is a recommendation of the World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, UN Industrial Development Organisation, leading international commercial banks and investment funds, as well as other capital investors.

With the aim of enhancing the knowledge of FIDIC Contracts of the employees in the ministries, city/municipal administration and public companies, EU PPF6 team organized general training titled Infrastructure projects – EU programmes and projects audits, irregularity principles, risk management and quality control system. These segments are critical in understanding the Contract conditions by FIDIC rules, thus this is one of the key trainings about FIDIC. This training was attended by 19 representatives from the relevant Ministries, 12 from city/municipal administration and 7 from PUCs. Training was successfully completed by 38 participants in total. Forthcoming are more trainings on this subject.
